‘CusOrd’ date field in transaction MD04 and CO09

In this topic I will try to explain source (meaning) CusOrd date in TCode MD04 or CO09. This date coming from the sales order:


There are two variants:
1) Case 1: Fixed date and quantity indicator is not set in the sales order.
You have created a sales order with a requested delivery date e.g. on 14.03.2013.

The material availability date of the requested schedule line is 12.03.2013 and this is displayed in transaction MD04 and Co09.

2) Case 2: Fixed date and quantity indicator is set in the sales order.

The material availability date of the confirmed schedule line is 20.03.2013 and this is displayed in transaction MD04 and Co09.

So, if sum up system behavior then we have:
In transactions MD04 and Co09 the material availability date of the requested schedule line is shown.

When the flag “Fixed date and qty” is set in the schedule line the material availability date of the confirmed schedule line is displayed in transactions MD04 and Co09. Furthermore the system passes the confirmed quantity as MRP requirement to transaction MD04.
